Workshop: Chloé Thomas – Shifting Pages – Collective Book Experiment

16:00 – 19:00

sous-bosiWS-2 kopyası

In this workshop, we will create a collective, evolving publication, inspired by experimental and playful approaches to bookmaking, with a nod to Bruno Munari.

Using translucent paper and handmade stamps cut from foam, you will lay out one or two pages with simple shapes and forms. Each page will be printed in multiple copies and shared with the group, so that every contribution becomes part of a collective book. As the pages overlap, images accumulate and transform, creating unexpected compositions that shift as the book is flipped through.

The result is a kind of imaginary landscape — a book that constantly changes, where forms appear, disappear and recombine through transparency, like walking through fog.

A simple rule guides the process: no drawing, only cutting. This leaves space for spontaneity, chance and surprising encounters between everyones contributions.

By the end of the session, we will assemble and bind several identical copies of the collective book, and you will take one home.

Workshop : eo studiio – Mood Hood Workshop ~ Touch, Feel, Make

14:00 – 15:00

eo studio

As part of the presentation of the Mood Hood Book at the Fanzineist Vienna Book & Zine Fair, artist Sanna Gossy and curator Elisabeth Oberleitner invite participants to a playful 60-minute workshop exploring feelings through touch & making.

The session begins with an introduction to the Mood Hood Book: Sanna will share how the publication emerged from the installation at Waking Life Festival 2024 and demonstrate how the handmade book is physically assembled using recycled textiles and tactile elements.

Participants will then create their own Mood Hood-style bag charm, using fragments and materials from the book itself. The process entails a self check-in” with your current mood, encouraging exploration of feelings through texture, color, and playful composition.

To close the workshop, there will be time for a small nail art session, where participants can apply mini nail art and stickers, adding another tactile and visual layer to the Mood Hood experience.

The workshop blends artist book practice, craft, and sensory reflection, offering a hands-on entry point into the themes of the Mood Hood project.

Advice from Everyone about Everything, volume 2 is an interactive international publishing project by WIRWIR PUBLISHES (Berlin, Germany). Throughout 2025, we installed a typewriter when tabling at printed matter events. We invited visitors to use the typewriter and share their advice. Over the course of the year we collected over 380 pieces of advice from everyone about everything. Each advice handed over reads like a tiny self-portrait revealing glimpses of where that person was at that moment in their life. The performative reading will include April Gertler and Adrian Schiesser presenting the project and then reading different pieces of advice from the publication.

Talk: Causa Creation – Stars & Scars: lessons learned from  crowdfunding

15:00 – 15:30

Causa_Crowdfunding_Talk

In late 2017 an artist started to tinker around with Tarot cards and solitaire card games to get a short break from his digital work. 7 years and 8 Kickstarter campaigns later, he had ended up raising over 1 million euros and lost his mind. Don’t worry, he eventually found it again. In this talk Georg Hobmeier will take a look at this journey with the artists Viv Tanner, Eliot Baum, and the game designer James Patton and how their joined forces forged an IP that stretches from Tarot cards via board games to the lofty realms of tabletop roleplaying and zine production. He will analyse how a plan that experts described as a bad idea actually worked pretty well on Kickstarter and what simple factors and mechanics were involved in its execution. He will also advise on crowdfunding in general while also strongly advising to not listen to advice. Ever.
