Alexander Zaloopin aka Maestro, a mysterious knight in a bright suit and mask, will perform at the opening of Fanzineist Vienna Art Book & Zine Fest on May 16. The singer has become famous for his extravagant performances, his husky voice and the wide stylistic spectrum of his songs. Having started to change Russian prison chanson music by introducing genre diversity and lgbt-topics 20 years ago, the anonymous Maestro continues to delight audiences with new songs. Zaloopin has already managed to perform in Vienna twice in a short time. Don’t miss this unforgettable journey through times and musical styles – it’s an energy that needs no translation.

Elektro Hafiz is a musician, born and raised in Istanbul, who has recently moved to Cologne, Germany.
The sound of Elektro Hafiz, reminds us the hypnotic wedding music heard in border villages of southeastern Turkey. When mind-blowing energy of this state of mind and Hafız’s overdrive-fuzz tones come together, you will be the one who should decide whether this is psychedelic or punk!
He loves to play with contrasts and create new compositions from there.
This open and experimental approach is still his trademark, as well as his charming provocative style that is complemented by a healthy dose of humour. His diverse compositions are heavily influenced by his Istanbul roots, which are reflected in his instrument of choice, the electric saz & electric guitar, in most of his pieces.

We ask you to get on board for a stormy ride through Deep SoSa and Quatsch Core.

The audience is invited to doodle on their hat-shaped eggheads during their performances via a projection of MS Paint.
